On May 14, foreign students of the Kazan Innovative University visited one of the most picturesque places in the Republic of Tatarstan, Kamskoye Ustye, for the first time.
During the eventful academic year, foreign students of KIU have already visited many natural and cultural sites of Tatarstan: Sviyazhsk, the Raifa nature reserve and monastery, Lake Ilyinskoye, Lake Lebyazh’e. The next point of the trip was Kamskoe Ustye - a unique area 2 hours from Kazan with extraordinarily beautiful nature, the banks of the Volga and natural attractions that are thousands of years old.
The first point of the trip was Yuryevskaya Cave, which is the longest natural cave in the Middle Volga region, which is more than 10,000 years old. Despite the fact that the entrance to the cave was very narrow, the guys were not afraid and boldly walked through it to the end. At the exit, the guys enthusiastically told about the many "halls" that they saw inside the cave.
Further, all students and their teachers tried their hand at mountaineering, descending a steep slope to the bank of the Volga River with the help of specially fixed ropes. Having gone down, they admired the incredible beauty and picturesque view of the largest river in Russia. The students explored the riverbank with curiosity and great interest and took many photographs.
The last point of the route was Lobach Hill and the lighthouse on its top, which are located at the place where the Kama River flows into the Volga River. The guys easily climbed to the top of the mountain (136 meters). Here, a picnic was organized for them with beautiful views from a height of the river, which in size resembles the sea. At the end, everyone together took a memorable photo against the background of the Volga-Kama sign, which is the hallmark of the Kamskoye Ustye.
This trip was one of the brightest and most memorable for the foreign students of KIU, because for them it was a real adventure. The guys got incredible emotions and promised themselves to come here again.
