Polina Ilyushkina, Associate Professor of the Design Department at KIU, Honored Art Worker of the Republic of Tatarstan, and Corresponding Member of the International Academy of Culture and Art, actively participated in the first business forum "TIME: Russia – India. Mutual Effectiveness," held last week in Kazan. The event became a large-scale platform for dialogue, bringing together representatives from 30 regions of Russia and 22 regions of India. The forum and exhibition were a response to the directives of the two nations' leaders—Russian President Vladimir Putin and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi—on the development of Russian-Indian relations.

The event was attended by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan, Alexey Pesoshin; the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of India to the Russian Federation, Vinay Kumar; the Head of the Investment Development Agency of the Republic of Tatarstan, Taliya Minullina; Purnima Anand, President of the BRICS International Forum; and Shri Rajesh Kumar Ramesh Chandra Kotecha, Secretary of the Ministry of AYUSH. Also in attendance were about 2,000 entrepreneurs and representatives of government bodies from regions of Russia and India.

The "Russia - India" exhibition features paintings by Honored Art Worker of the Republic of Tatarstan and Corresponding Member of the International Academy of Culture and Art Polina Valeryevna Ilyushkina. The works were created in Tatarstan, Russia, and during a creative expedition to India, where the artist participated in art symposia in the cities of Udaipur and Jaipur and also spent several days in mandatory quarantine in the city of Ahmedabad. The exhibition includes series of pictorial and graphic works depicting life, culture, and the influence of modern globalization on the daily life and worldview of the people, as well as other works created in the artist's studio.

A distinctive highlight of the exhibition is a series of life portraits of Indian and Russian cultural figures, as well as genre scenes from the lives of local residents. Polina Ilyushkina's "Russia-India" exhibition helps the peoples of the two countries learn about each other's culture and customs, which will undoubtedly contribute to the mutual enrichment of the two cultures and the expansion of cultural exchange.

The participation of a KIU representative at the "TIME: Russia – India" forum underscores the university's role not only as an educational center but also as a cultural hub that actively participates in international projects and strengthens humanitarian ties between countries.
