Students of the Faculty of Linguistics and Intercultural Communication from Colombia became one of 80 foreign students from higher educational institutions of the Republic of Tatarstan who successfully passed all stages of selection and received a unique opportunity to join the delegation of the Republic of Tatarstan at the XII International Educational Forum “Summer Campus of the Presidential Academy 2024”.
"The Summer Campus of the Presidential Academy" is a unique annual educational project for the best students of Russian and foreign universities who have passed a complex stage-by-stage selection. This year the forum was held at the resort town of Sviyaga Hills. Over the course of several days on campus, students took part in lectures, trainings, seminars, workshops, interactive classes and discussions with leading Russian and foreign scientists, government officials and world-class businessmen.
In addition to educational tracks, foreign students of KIU took an active part in the social life of the project, winning prizes.
2nd year student of KIU Cortes Jara Hasleny Tatiana won awards in the categories “Best Group Member” and “Best Team” of the dance competition.
“The campus is over, but emotions still overwhelm me. It was an incredible and unforgettable adventure. This experience left us with more than just emotions. I found many new friends, learned more about our generation and our capabilities, tested myself in different competencies and assessed my abilities to achieve new ones. I took part and I won,” notes Tatiana.
“I really enjoyed participating on campus, I received a lot of emotions, new experiences, new impressions, I had the opportunity to meet amazing people, I was able to establish cultural exchanges with other countries and various regions of Russia. At the Campus I was able to achieve my goal, practice my Russian, learn from lectures and have a great time. I am very grateful to my Tatar Solyanka team, who have always helped and supported me from day one. As an international student, I can say that from the first days I was surrounded by kindness and hospitality. I would like to separately note that in the hotel where we lived I found a room with paintings of the Colombian football team. This made me very happy,” Hernandez Perez Zharik Yiseth shared her impressions.
Over the 12 years of the project’s existence, the Summer Campus can rightfully be called one of the most vibrant and large-scale student educational events, which has established itself as one of the best forums in the Russian Federation.
