A delegation from KIU named after V.G. Timiryasov, represented by Vice-Rector for Economics and Strategic Development Liliya Vorontsova and Rector's Advisor, Director of the KIU Project Office Oleg Agapov, took part in the International Forum organized by Rossotrudnichestvo and the Roscongress Foundation. The event brought together representatives from ministries, agencies, and major Russian universities. The Forum, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of public diplomacy, was attended by over 2,000 Russian and foreign delegates from more than 100 countries across Europe, Asia, Africa, and Latin America.

In his address to the Forum delegates, President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin emphasized that key tasks today remain preserving the historical memory of the Great Patriotic War, strengthening traditional values, and combating manifestations of neo-Nazism and neocolonialism. Video greetings to the participants were sent by His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Sergey Lavrov.

The Forum's business program included discussion sessions and thematic tracks of the educational marathon by the Russian "Znanie" Society at the venue of the "Russia" National Center and partner platforms. The agenda covered key aspects of public diplomacy in all its forms: spiritual, humanitarian, parliamentary, sports, and children's and youth diplomacy.

KIU named after V.G. Timiryasov is a long-standing and active participant in the Russian "Znanie" Society, under whose auspices the Forum was held. It is worth recalling that the university's rector, Asiya Timiryasova, heads the Tatarstan Regional Branch of the "Znanie" Society.

Kazan Innovative University actively participates in many events under the auspices of Rossotrudnichestvo. Notably, with the support of Russia's BRICS Sherpa, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Ryabkov, the first BRICS-themed auditorium in Russia was opened at our university.

KIU named after V.G. Timiryasov expresses its gratitude to the Head of Rossotrudnichestvo, Yevgeny Primakov, and Deputy Head Dmitry Polikanov for the opportunity to be part of such a large-scale event. The momentum and ideas from the Rossotrudnichestvo International Forum will form the basis for developing friendly relations between Rossotrudnichestvo and KIU named after V.G. Timiryasov in the coming years.
