On December 24, 2025, an important meeting between representatives of Kazan Innovative University named after V.G. Timiryasov and Ms. Liu Xuejiao, Consul of the Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in Kazan, took place at the university. The event was attended by First Vice-Rector and Vice-Rector for Research — Igor Izmaylovich Bikееv, Dean of the Faculty of Linguistics and Intercultural Communication — Roza Zakarievna Valeeva, and Head of the International Department — Ekaterina Igorevna Nikitina.
KIU named after V.G. Timiryasov has confirmed its high status by taking 20th place in the nationwide "Tvoy Khod" (Your Move) ranking — the Index of Student Attitudes towards Educational Work in Universities.
A delegation from the V.G. Timiryasov Kazan Innovative University, led by Rector Asiya Timiryasova, visited the heart of Northeast China and agreed to initiate cooperation with the Heilongjiang University of Finance and Economics (Harbin). The negotiations, which included a ceremonial signing of the agreement, mark a significant step in developing international ties. During the KIU delegation's visit to China, the leadership of Heilongjiang University of Finance and Economics introduced them to the activities and achievements of its faculties, allowing them to find many common ground points.
A ceremonial presentation of the named scholarships of the President and the Government of Russia took place in Kazan. KIU Rector Asiya Timiryasova participated in the ceremony.
Today, the Ekayat Puppet Theater became the stage for a vibrant student celebration. The final of the annual beauty and talent contest was held here! This year, the event brought together the most charismatic, creative, and purposeful students.

Our university has once again proven to be at the center of BRICS dialogue: at the ceremonial closing of the Brazilian stage of the International Socio-Cultural and Business Program "BRICS Peoples Choose Life" and the project "Great BRICS Teachers: The Cultural and Moral Code of Unification" in Moscow, KIU Rector Asiya Timiryasova presented the results of our university's work as an active participant in BRICS initiatives. The rector's speech took place at the round table "A Century of Russian Public Diplomacy: Lessons from the Past and Opportunities for the Future," which brought together a wide range of participants interested in developing humanitarian and diplomatic cooperation within BRICS.
In November 2025, in order to implement the Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan No. 483 dated July 4, 2025, "On the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan Grant 'Algarysh,'" KIU associate professors Margarita Filatova-Safronova and Nadezhda Vanyukhina represented Tatarstan and KIU named after V.G. Timiryasov during an internship in Hong Kong. This is the first regional program of its kind in Russia, simultaneously addressing two important tasks for the socio-economic development of the Republic of Tatarstan: preparing and developing the republic's human resource potential and meeting the needs of the republic's economy for highly qualified personnel.
A landmark event, the XV All-Russian Scientific and Practical Conference with International Participation "The Dialectics of Combating Corruption," was held at the Kazan Innovative University named after V.G. Timiryasov. This anniversary event once again confirmed its status as one of the country's leading expert platforms.
On November 15, 2025, the fifth anniversary "InYaz" Language and Culture Festival was held at MBOU "Gymnasium No. 20 'Harmony'". KIU students took an active part in the event.
